EDS COVID-19 SECURE PROCEDURES
We are carefully monitoring Government advice, which is subject to change at short notice. Please keep an eye on our Facebook/Instagram pages for regular updates.
Class participants attend at their own risk. If you, or anyone you live with, is experiencing symptoms you MUST NOT attend class.
• Please book and pay in advance only - no drop-ins. We won’t be handling cash.
• Complete an EDS Covid-19 Class Participation Form (for Test & Trace purposes) and return it to us before attending class. NO FORM, NO CLASS ([email protected]).
• We will be keeping registers for each class.
• Classes are limited to 15 participants maximum.
• Please don’t arrive early for class, and ensure you leave promptly.
• Wear a mask on the way in and way out, and remain socially distanced.
• We will be implementing a one way in/out system – enter via the external garden doors, exit via the usual corridor.
• Place your belongings around the sides of the studio, 2m apart from other people. Change into your dance shoes, sanitise your hands, then make your way (socially distanced) to a dance square marked out with floor spots.
• Only bring a small bag containing minimal belongings with you – including your own hand sanitiser, water bottle, tissues and dance shoes.
• Come dressed ready to dance.
• Windows/external doors will be open for ventilation.
• The toilet will be available but we ask that you only use it if absolutely necessary.
• Floor work and travelling sequences across the studio will not be carried out for the time being.
• Please wear ballet shoes, jazz shoes or grippy dance socks for contemporary and jazz. No bare feet.
• Barres will be marked with tape so you know where to stand.
• Barres will be sanitised in between use by different individuals and at the end of class.
• Hands must be sanitised on entry to the studio and after water breaks/toilet use.
• Classes will be five minutes shorter to allow extra cleaning and safe change-over of class members.
• Should you test positive for Covid-19, please inform EDS as soon as possible, in line with Government Test & Trace procedures.
• Should we be required to cancel classes due to a change in Government regulations, we will notify you via social media/email.
• Full risk assessment is available on request.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION AT THIS TIME. FOLLOWING THESE PROCEDURES ALLOWS US TO MINIMISE RISKS SO THAT WE CAN GET BACK TO DANCING!
