Eastbourne Dance Space respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. We will only use your personal information for the purposes of administration, communication and compliance with health & safety procedures.
The data collected at point of booking on Bookwhen includes:

Phone No.
Date of Birth
Brief Essential Medical Info

This data will only be available to your class teacher/s, and is collected to create registers and in case of medical emergency during class (this information may be passed on to the ambulance service if required to provide essential medical treatment). The data is held securely by Bookwhen on behalf of EDS and not passed on to any other third parties. Data is automatically deleted after eighteen months of inactivity on Bookwhen.
We use Bookwhen to manage bookings, and all customer data is processed securely in the UK. Bookwhen is GDPR-compliant and provides a privacy policy which can be viewed here:

Bookwhen use Stripe to process your payments. Your payment information is taken securely by Stripe who are GDPR-compliant and have their own privacy policy:

Clients have the right to request access to their data at any time and can ask for it to be deleted/destroyed.
In booking you agree that EDS may contact you by email regarding EDS news, class changes or cancellations. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking the 'unsubscribe' button at the bottom of our emails.
At the point of booking you will also be asked to tick a box to show that you have read and agree with our booking confirmation/terms and conditions (which are visible at point of booking and can also be viewed below):
BOOKING CONFIRMATION/TERMS & CONDITIONS
In line with good practice, Eastbourne Dance Space undertake appropriate risk assessments and safeguarding for all our in-person and online activities. There nonetheless remains a risk of physical injury when anyone participates in dance and movement activity. Anyone participating in our activities must do so sensibly and with care for themselves. In participating in these classes, participants agree that they do so voluntarily and at their own risk, and that they assume all risk of any injury to themselves.
Individuals must only participate in movement and dance activity that is suitable for their own physical fitness, and if they are unsure about this they should consult with their Doctor/GP, Consultant, Specialist Nurse or other licensed medical practitioner before participating. Information that we collect about you at the point of booking is collected to create registers and in the unlikely event of a medical emergency whilst you are in class, and can only be viewed by your teacher/s (this information may be passed on to the ambulance service if required to provide essential medical treatment). All data will be held securely and not passed on to any other third parties in line with our privacy policy and that of Bookwhen.

Once you have booked you are securing your place in class and no refunds can be made. It may be possible to transfer your booking to another date/class if there is availability and if requested at least twenty four hours prior. Please do not arrive at class without having booked and paid first.

Participants must make sure they are sufficiently warmed up for class and late arrival may result in non-admittance if the class warm-up has been missed. Participants must also ensure they cool down sufficiently after class.
All of our teachers are professionally trained and qualified, hold enhanced DBS checks and are trained first aiders attending regular courses and CPD. EDS meets its PLI requirements.

PHOTO POLICY
Please note that EDS may occasionally take photographs or videos at our classes/performances/events for promotional and archival purposes. These images may appear on our website, social media channels and in our marketing materials. We process these images based on our legitimate interests to publicise our activities. We will not use images that are intrusive, inappropriate, or harmful. No full names or other details will be used alongside these photos.
If you would prefer not to be photographed please alert the photographer or a member of staff.
